Who are we?

We are a Non-Profit Organisation that seeks to intervene in socio-economic issues facing the community of Mqanduli and its surroundings.

Our Mission

The Nozizwe Foundation is dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for the socio-economic challenges the Mqanduli Community faces. We are committed to empowering individuals with skills, recognizing unpaid labor, fostering educational access, and nurturing the leadership potential of the youth.

Our Vision

We envision a Mqanduli community where a socio-economic disparities are minimized and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a collective upward trajectory.

Our Team


Lusanda Madikane

Chairperson

Lusanda Madikane is from Mqanduli in a village called "Wilo”. She is an academic excelling individual who possess outstanding leadership skills. She recently graduated her degree in communication studies with a distinction and is enrolled for her honours degree in communication science.Lusanda has a dream of attaining a PhD and changing the storyline in her family and eventually impacting the world. She is likewise one of the outstanding emerging leaders. She is also the founder and chairperson of The Nozizwe Foundation with a clear vision to serve the world,particulary rural disadvantaged communities. Lusanda identifies herself as a spiritually grounded child of the soil, an activist and an academic.

Bonelwa Nogqaza

Deputy Chairperson

Bonelwa Nogqaza is originally from Mqanduli in a village called "Luthubeni”. She is an academically focused intellect with an honours degree in Sociology and is currently completing her MA in Sociology.Bonelwa wants to pursue her PhD in policy studies and has a dream of becoming a policy analyst/policy maker. As the first graduate in her village, she has a dream of imparting the knowledge she has and break generational impossibilities in her family and the community. At Nozizwe Foundation she serves as the Deputy Chairperson who oversees the overall running of the organisation. Outside her formal activities Bonelwa finds interest in scriptwriting.

Onke Cetywayo

Secretary

Onke Cetywayo is from Mqanduli in a village called "Mbozisa”. He is a passionate, determined intellect with an honours degree in computer science and is seeking to perSue his MA in Internet of Things (IOT).Onke has a dream of becoming a PhD holder in the field of science. He is a well organised gentleman serving as the secretary of Nozizwe Foundation. He oversees the administration of the organisation and ensures that the organisation runs smooth. He possess exceptional leadership skills and is an open minded person. Outside his formal activities he finds amusement in swimming and hiking.

Abulele Jebese

Treasure

Abulele Jebese is from Mqanduli in a village called "Wilo”. She is an academically determined intellect currently enrolled for a social science degree. Abulele is passionate about success and strives to change the narrate in her family and the broader community. She is motivated by the struggles she grew up under and wish to be a role model to those coming after her. She has a dream of attaining her PhD within the social sciences. At Nozizwe she serves as the treasure who oversees the financial administration of the organisation and also contributes to other dimension of the organisation. Outside her formal activities Abulele does beadwork ranging from hand bangles to necklaces.

Siphosethu Mejini

Council

Siphosethu Mejini is from in Mqanduli in a village called "Mbozisa”. He is enthusiastic about construction related matters and holds a qualification in Business Administration.Siphosethu received his honours in Business Administration and next year enrolling for his MBA. He has a dream of furthering his studies to a PhD level in the business related field. He is a passionate, resilient gentleman who is business minded, this draws from his formative years in school when he used to sell sweets and other products. At Nozizwe he serves as the council of the organisation who oversees the overall structure of the organisation .Outside his formal activities Siphosethu is an award winning athlete who cycles and teaches others how to cycle.

Oyintando Mbonani

Fundraising Officer

Oyintando Mbonani, hailing from Mncwasa village in Mqanduli, is a driven and ambitious individual who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws Degree . As Fundraising officer at Nozizwe Foundation, she plays the role of securing resources to support the organisation's mission. With a a strong sense of community and social responsibility, she is committed to making a positive impact.
